Journalists from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Grahamstown and Durban learnt more about the sugar industry on 28-29 November 2018 during an annual media tour organised and hosted by the South African Sugar Association (SASA).

The SASA delegation was led by SASA Vice-Chairperson Lindiwe “Lee” Hlubi, SASA Executive Director Trix Trikam and SASA External Affairs Director Portia Mpofu. On the first day (28 November), Trikam gave the Members of the Fourth Estate (from media outlets such as ENCA, Health24, Landbou Weekbald, Vuma FM, Ilanga News and 1KZN TV) an insightful overview of the industry and also briefed on national markets including issues of exports and imports.
